A Blessed Hope

Paul says to Titus: 'It is an eternal hope; a blessed
hope." We are waiting for His appearing. Titus 2:13

Paul keeps reminding his disciples to watch and to
anticipate the return of their Lord. Paul's goal was
to preach the gospel to the whole known world.

In Luke 21:25, Jesus says,  "And there will be signs
in sun and moon and stars. On earth distress of
nations in perplexity...people fainting with fear and
foreboding of what is coming on the world...And,
they would see the Son of Man coming in a cloud
with power and glory..."
"Now when these things begin to take place
straighten up and raise your heads because your
redemption is drawing near."

In this passage Jesus uses the budding of the fig tree
to represent the nation of Israel being re-established.
Those that see this will be the generation that sees
everything come to pass. That generation is now in
their 70's!

Jesus is very clear: "Therefore you must be ready,
for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do
not expect...stay awake at al times, praying that
\you may have strength to escape all these things
that are going to take place, and to stand before
the Son of Man."
Watch. Be alert."

Reader, I did not intend to go in this direction when
I sat down to write, but I began to feel a great
urgency as I began to write.

The next blog will cover scripture that should bring
a smile to your face!
