Pressure

There they are. Three men standing tall. Then,
"...certain Chaldeans came forward and
maliciously accused the Jews '...these men, O
King, pay no attention to you; they do not serve
your gods or the golden image you set up.'"

Well, at these words the king flew into a furious
rage, "...If you do not worship, you shall
immediately be cast into a burning fiery furnace.
And who is the god who will deliver you out of
my hands?"

What would you say, dear reader, in such a life
and death situation? (And don't think you can
escape because of where you live!) Do you
notice where the battle lines are drawn? "Who
is your god who will deliver you out of my
hands." This is a battle between two kings!

The battle is fought and won by the little choices
we make on a daily basis. We think we wrestle
against the ordinary fleshy stuff, but the contest
is over allegiance, and the stakes are huge.
