Luke 12:40
If you are avoiding the call of the religious thinking
of today's world, and instead are "Looking unto Jesus,"
you will be considered a daydreamer and unpractical.
But when He suddenly appears in the work of the heat
of the day, you will be the only one who is ready. You
should trust no one, and even ignore the finest saint
on earth if he blocks your sight of Jesus Christ.(OC)
There is so much noise, busyness and show in the
churches of this century here in the west. Where is
the stillness in which to hear His voice? Our culture
invites us to listen to the experts, absorb the news
of the day, work to make ourselves better and to save
mankind. But, Jesus says that "when these things
begin to come upon the earth, look up, for your
Redemption draws nigh."
Reader, be ready for Him for He will come to you
when you least expect Him.
