He says to the Corinthians:
"We experienced affliction in Asia
We were utterly burdened beyond strength
We despaired of life itself
It felt like a sentence of death"
"But it was to make us rely not on
ourselves, but on God who raises
the dead." (2 Cor 1:8,9)
Reader, I have a question for you. Does
God give you more than you can handle?
Absolutely! He wants us to lean into Him,
so He pulls out all the props.
There is a chorus that I loved as a child:
"Learning to lean, learning to lean
I'm learning to lean on Jesus,
I need more power than I ever dreamed!
I'm learning to lean on Jesus.
Below is a very old quartet,
but it is an old song
