The Answer

We don't know how long Habakuk waited until
God showed up. It might have been some time!
God then spoke out:

"Write the vision;
     make it plain on tablets,
     so he may run who reads it.
For still the vision awaits its appointed
     time;
it hastens to the end--it will not lie.
If it seems slow, wait for it;
it will surely come; it will not delay.
Behold, his soul is puffed up; it is not
     upright within him,
but the righteous shall live by his faith."

A theme so familiar,
the reminder so essential.

God then goes through a series of woes against
those who practice wickedness, but right in the
midst of this God shines through the darkness:

"For the earth will be filled
     with the knowledge of the glory of the
          Lord
as the waters cover the sea."

Think about it! One day the weapons,
the wickedness will be gone and
the glory of the Lord will fill the earth!!!!!

"Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for,
the conviction of things not seen."

Hallelujah!
Now go in the faithfulness of your God!

the book of Habakuk, a minor prophet in the
Old Testament,)
