Carnally Minded?

Now that's a word we don't hear everyday!
The definition:
Pertaining to the flesh; fleshly, sensual.

'The carnal mind is enmity against God...
so they that are in the flesh cannot please 
God.'
Romans 8

'Where there is envy, strife, divisions 
among you, are you not carnal?'
(1Cor 3:3)

Oswald Chambers puts it this way:
'If the Spirit of God detects anything in you
that is wrong, He doesn't ask you to make 
it right; He only asks you to accept the 
light of the truth, and then He makes it 
right. A child of the light will confess sin 
instantly and stand completely open before 
God.' 

Reader, the brief scripture and paragraph
above caught me off guard today. God
never lets us get away from the heart of
the thing, does He?
