Degeneration

"Just as through one man sin entered the world,
and death through sin, and thus death spread to
all men, because all sinned.' (Romans 5:12)

This is what Oswald Chambers says:

The nature of sin is not immorality and wrong-
doing, but the nature of self-realization which 
leads us to say, 'I am my own god.'

People do not want to bow to another, they want
to be free to live their lives with no constraints.
The tribulation period will be a time when all
restraints on sin are lifted and everyone will do
'what is right in their own eyes.'
