Perserverance

...in much patience, in tribulations, in needs, in distresses.
                            2 Corinthians 6:4

'The thing that really testifies for God and for the people
of God in the long run is steady perseverance, even 
when the work cannot be seen by others. And the only
way to live an undefeated life is to live looking unto

Reader, the desire to be seen and to receive affirmation
is so strong in all of us. Don't you think that Paul found
this unmet need to be a problem as he established the
small churches in each place? He was very careful in
every letter to give each church genuine praise and
encouragement. He seemed to know that their drudgery
as slaves--for many of them were-- was a very hidden
part of their lives.

Ask God to keep your eyes open to
the risen Christ who lives within you!
