Shout for joy!

Psalm 33 is a psalm for dancing

'Shout for joy to the Lord
Praise benefits his people.
Give thanks to the Lord with instruments
Make melody to the Lord
Sing to Him a new song with loud shouts!

Why? Because:
The word of the Lord is upright
His work is done in faithfulness
He loves righteousness and justice
The earth is full of his steadfast love

He made the heavens and its hosts
He gathers the waters of the sea as a heap
He puts the deeps into storehouses.

The Lord looks down on the men whose hearts
       He has fashioned
He observes their deeds.

The warhorse is a false hope for salvation
       by its great might we will not be rescued.

Behold, the eye of the Lord is on them that
       fear Him,
On those who hope in his in his steadfast
       love
That He may deliver their soul from death
And keep them alive in famine.

Our soul waits for the Lord
He is our help and shield
for out heart is glad in Him
Because we trust in his Holy Name.

"Let your steadfast love, O Lord be upon us
Even as we hope in you."'

Dear reader, we have an awesome God, as in glorious,
majestic, beautiful! He made the heavens and the earth.
He has His eye on us. When nothing and no one can
be depended upon, we have Him. He is a God worth
waiting for.
